My Story

When a young hockey player searching for his true purpose is overcome by addiction and mental health issues, he's forced to make the biggest decision of his life. Keep down a dark, harrowing path which leads to death, or entrust his life to God. After regaining his faith and being freed from his past, this athlete turned screenwriter tells stories to convey seemingly complex ideas simply.

————————————————

As a kid he exchanged stories with awe and wonder for the fun of it. By the time he was a young man, he learned to share stories to escape his present reality. After once clinging to stories for his survival, he now tells stories to explore the human condition and the themes of true freedom, justice, and love.

“Storytelling has always been an integral part of my life. In fact, I’ve always viewed life itself as one big story. As a child, I fell in love with shows and movies while my siblings were at school. Once I grew older and became a competitive hockey player, my time as an athlete was consumed by the same things that drive every good story.

————————————————

Although I was always enamored by incredible stories when I was a boy, I struggled with my own story for a long time. As my days on the ice began to come to a bitter end, I witnessed the ramifications of failed dreams and a broken home. After facing the horrors of abuse and poverty, my personal faith was miraculously and triumphantly resurrected. Now, on the other side of adversity, I’ve cultivated a distinct voice, a unique perspective, a fresh vision, and a plethora of wild stories to share with the world.”

My Philosophy

“As a devout Christian, I put my trust in the greatest story ever told. A story in which we live, move, and have our being.

Throughout my personal life, experiences as a student, team leader, and professional writer, and during my time working with fellow artists, I’ve learned the true power of using stories to change people’s lives.

I believe that stories are not only extremely valuable, but fundamental to our development and an essential way we express ourselves. Stories are part of a universal language that communicates certain aspects of humanity that are mysteriously difficult to articulate through any other medium.”
